When it rains in Spain... Today was wet and breezy as the agenda called for a three hour walking tour of the city. Equipped with our windbreakers and umbrellas we set out to explore the Santa Maria Del Mar (Gothic Church), Ribera Museo Picasso (Historic Center), Plaza Sant Jaume (Town Hall and ¨General Itat¨), Outside Roman Temple, Buenas Migas (Our warming spot where we had hot chocolate, coffee and the most delicious bread), Plaza Del Rei (Columbus quite possibly met the king here in 1493), Cathedral and Roman Walls (Gothic), Road outside Roman walls, Santa Maria Del Pi (Last Gothic Church), Ramblas (Modernist building, the Boqueria - market), Plaza Reial (square with Light posts designed by Gaudi) and the Roman Ruins (old entrance to the city). It was a day to remember. Posted by melinda ( May 01 2007, 12:00:00 AM EDT ) Permalink Comments:
